It’s that time of year again! The time where we all make resolutions to meet new people and travel more. What if this New Year’s, you could do all of that at the opera house? Here are some ways to add seeing opera to your 2017 New Year’s resolutions.

Pick up a new hobby:  opera.

Sometimes the day job gets to us and we forget to enjoy ourselves outside of the office. Take a break from Netflix binge-watching (although we also can’t wait for Sherlock) and spend some nights at the opera.

Learn something new.

Do you know what it takes to produce an opera? Go behind-the-scenes and learn about our productions before seeing the show.

Get in formation. Opera formation, that is.

What better way to fall in love with opera than to dive into artist podcasts, read up on our productions, or join events programs. Beyoncé would be proud.

Meet new people.

Have you heard of ARIA? It’s a program where arts professionals see amazing opera and then party together at some of the hottest venues in downtown LA.

There are also so many other programs for all ages. If ARIA isn’t up your alley, check out our Domingo Family Program or our community programs.

Travel more.

In other words, travel without ever leaving Los Angeles. Join us for a ride on the Orient Express to Istanbul in The Abduction from the Seraglio or a gritty Italian adventure in Tosca.

With opera, the possibilities are endless and we can’t wait to welcome you to our house in 2017.
