“Night at the Opera 🎭🎻 … Last night we took our annual date night to the @laopera 🎻 I am always down for some glitz and glam ✨ We saw Don Carlo. I had never seen an opera before meeting Ian and love the tradition of getting dressed up with friends for an evening out 💕 Between the champagne, the beautiful dresses and the Italian this is definitely a cultural experience and tradition I recommend you start 🎭” – Erin Ziering

“LA Opera at The Santa Monica Pier. “Don Carlo” shows what the human voice can do. Verdi would have enjoyed hearing the roller coaster in the background!” – Tom Weitzel at Opera at the Beach

“LA Opera at the Park! Don Carlo.”

“Placido Domingo was LIT AF.”

“Brilliant performance by Placido Domingo as Rodrigo tonight in #DonCarlo @LAOpera – However, I can’t believe I haven’t heard the beautiful voice of Italian Bass #FerruccioFurlanetto before. He delivered an emotionally sophisticated performance as the king. Bravo!”

“About last night! Los Angeles Opera opened the season with Verdi’s masterpiece Don Carlo Starring Placido Domingo and a star studded cast”

“… To have two deliciously contrasting bass singers together, Ferruccio Furlanetto as Phillip II and Morris Robinson as … The Grand Inquisitor, as like have gravel and granite mixed and sculptured in diving proportion by God himself” – Paul Selar

“Beach ball and palm tree take a bow opening night of #doncarlo in SO to audiences watching live simulcast in Santa Monica and Sylmar …” – Patricia Perez

Verdi is at his best in melody when the king laments! thanks to Maestro James Conlon with Bass Ferruccio Furlanetto, it was just amazing and so touching. Don Carlo was a visual and audio treat which will be unforgettable in my life.
