GIVING TUESDAY: 5 REASONS TO SUPPORT LA OPERA

Giving Tuesday - Why I Give

Next Tuesday marks the fifth annual Giving Tuesday, a nationwide day of giving back, following the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping holidays. As a non-profit organization, LA Opera relies on donations from individuals like you to produce world-class opera both on the mainstage and throughout the community.

Below are just a few of the many reasons our donors support opera in Los Angeles.

RICHARD COOK

“A strong opera company is a must for a big city like Los Angeles, especially since it’s known for arts and entertainment. LA Opera adds to the prestige of the city and enriches the community greatly.”

CONSTANCE CHESNUT

“Every gift matters. If you’re a participant in society and enjoy the arts, you need to support them. Support what you value. A first rate opera company is essential to a first-rate city. The art form must be performed at this level in order to preserve it.”

ROSANNE KARLEBACH

“I want young people to experience opera through the company’s education programs, so they can understand and appreciate it as they get older.”

SUMMER WALTERS

“I give for the students. I don’t want children to miss out on the wonder that is music.”

DONALD BENTLEY

“It’s important for the city of Los Angeles to have a world class performing arts organization like LA Opera,”

What will be your reason for supporting LA Opera? Give today and your donation will be matched $2 for every $1 donated up to $500,000 thanks to a generous matching gift from Paul and Marybelle Musco.

LA Opera is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the greater good.
